Emma Lu
Piano Soloist, Young Artists Competition Winner 2026
Emma Lu, 13, has studied piano for eight years and is currently a student of Professor Alexander Braginsky. She has won numerous prestigious awards in both domestic and international piano competitions, including the 2024 International Clara Schumann Competition (Germany), the 2024 and 2025 International BTHVN WIEN Competition (Austria), the 2023 Montecatini International Competition (Italy), and the 2025 Thursday Musical Young Artist Scholarship Competition. Most recently, she was the state winner of the 2025 Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Piano Performance Competition.
Emma is also a talented composer and has received many top prizes, including a national honorable mention in the 2025 National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC) Composition Competition, the West Central Division Winner of the 2025 MTNA Composition Competition, multiple NFMC and MTNA national finalist honors, and being a two-time winner of the Valentine Award. Beyond music, Emma is a finalist in the Caroline D. Bradley Scholarship national award program and the founder of EcoAlpha, a youth-led nonprofit organization.
