Brittany Payeur
Associate Concertmaster
Brittany started violin lessons at age 6, eventually adding viola to her repertoire and being selected as a member of the National High School Honors Orchestra. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in violin performance from the University of Notre Dame, studying with Carolyn Plummer. She trained in both violin and viola performance, playing for 6 years with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, as well as teaching community violin lessons through a Notre Dame outreach program and playing with several community quartets. Upon moving to the Twin Cities she played with the Health Sciences Orchestra at the University of Minnesota as both a member and violin soloist. She joined the Dakota Valley Symphony Orchestra 3 years ago and was recently named associate concertmaster.
