Ally Hsieh
2025 Young Artist Competition Winner
Ally is a junior at Wayzata High School, and a 11 year cello student of Joe Kaiser. She is also a 7 year piano student of Miryana Moteva, and a 3 year voice student of Mikyoung Park. She has participated in various MacPhail Honors Recitals for all three instruments, the 2023 MacPhail Concerto and Aria Concert for cello, and was selected as a soloist for the 2023 and 2024 Suzuki Association of Minnesota Concerts. She has also played in a piano quartet for the 2023 MacPhail Music Matters Luncheon. She takes part in Wayzata High School’s Chamber Orchestra, as well as the Suzuki Chamber Orchestra. Outside of music, Ally was on her school’s Junior Varsity Girls Tennis Team, and participates in Business Professionals of America and Future Problem Solving. In her free time, she enjoys shopping and spending time with friends.
