Austin Meyer
Chorusmaster
Austin Meyer is a young and dynamic music educator who is excited to join the Dakota Valley Symphony and Chorus as Chorusmaster. He teaches at Lakeville North High School and directs four curricular choirs including the esteemed Now & Then Singers chamber ensemble. A recent graduate of St. Olaf College, Austin performed with the St. Olaf Choir, Band, and Orchestra, and studied with Anton Armstrong, Therees Hibbard, and Steven Amundson. Austin currently sings with the Twin-Cities based ensemble Magnum Chorum and is in his fourth year as the conductor of First English Lutheran Church’s Adult Choir in Faribault. Previously, Austin has worked with the Farmington High School choral program, Northfield Youth Choirs, Lutheran Summer Music Academy, and South Dakota’s Senior High School Honor Choirs.
